ARINKA Workshop in St. Petersburg

On May 21st the first ARINKA workshop was held at the Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University (PGUPS) in St. Petersburg, Russia. The workshop was opened by Tamila Titova First Vice-Rector, Vice-Rector for R&D Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University.

During the workshop the partners presented the progress so far in the various work packages. After each presentation the topics was discussed, and the work package leaders received useful feedback and input from all participants. Most of the partners was represented at workshop.

In connection of the workshop we were given an interesting presentation of the Russian train company October Railway by Mr. Vladimir Konyayev, First Deputy Technical Policy Service of October Railway.

Later the same day, the ARINKA partners was invited to visit the Center of Diagnostics and Monitoring of the October Railway infrastructure in St. Petersburg. 

On the May 22nd all participants visited the coal terminal of the Port of Ust’-Luga, with its fully automatized wagon unloading. We also visited the Luzhskaya station where the partners got an interesting presentation and on sight view of the advanced train shunting terminal.
